Rental car
The most obvious solution. On the western Algarve beaches, walking trails and restaurants are spread out; without a car you lose a lot of time. Book early during high season.
Faro to Ingrina Sol
From Faro to the western tip, in about one and a quarter hours.
The drive mostly follows the A22 motorway along the Algarve and ends on quiet country roads between fields and the sea.
The nearest airport is Faro (FAO). From there the A22 motorway leads westwards to Lagos, then continues on the N125 to Raposeira. Allow about 1 hour 20 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day.

Arrival in Faro
Car rental offices are located directly at the terminal or a few minutes away by shuttle.

A22 heading west
The motorway passes Albufeira, Portimão and Lagos. It is tolled; most rental cars have an electronic transponder installed.
- 03
From Lagos onto the N125
After Lagos the motorway ends. The N125 continues through Budens and Raposeira towards Vila do Bispo.
- 04
Turn off towards Ingrina
In Raposeira turn towards Praia da Ingrina. The Ingrina Sol settlement is shortly afterwards on the right.

Arriving
The parking space belongs to the house; you park directly on the property. We will coordinate the handover of the keys with you personally before your arrival.

Transfer
Private transfers from Faro also cover this route. Useful if you prefer not to use a car and plan to stay longer in one place.
Bus and train
Train and bus connect Faro with Lagos, but further west the network is sparse. For the last few kilometres you will need a taxi.
Arrival
Check-in without the puzzle of key boxes.
We will contact you before your arrival to agree on an approximate arrival time. The handover takes place in person or by the agreed method, so you will not be left outside if your flight is delayed.
If you arrive late, simply inform us. Late check-in is common on this coast, as many flights land in Faro only in the evening.

Questions about arrival
How does the toll on the A22 work?+
The A22 is charged electronically. Most rental cars have a transponder, and the fees are covered under the rental agreement. Please ask briefly when you collect the vehicle to avoid any surprises later.
Do we really need a car?+
A car is not essential for the beach, as Praia da Ingrina is within walking distance. However, for everything else, such as shopping, restaurants and excursions, having a car is highly recommended in the western Algarve.
Where can we park?+
There is a private parking space available on the property, right by the house.
