Those looking for a holiday home with a pool in the Algarve often end up in the east: holiday complexes, neighbouring houses within sight, one pool shared by twenty groups. Villa Sonata is located in the west, where the nature park begins and the coast remains wild and open.
The house is designed for six guests, has three bedrooms over two floors, and its own freshwater pool of 8 × 4 metres right in front of the living area. It is 1.6 kilometres to the beach, about an 18-minute walk.

The pool is the centre of the house, not an afterthought.
The living area opens via wide sliding doors onto the pool terrace. Breakfast by the water, a nap in the shade, grilling in the evening: summer life happens outdoors, and the house is built exactly for that.
Around the pool is a paved terrace with lounging areas. The ground-floor double bedroom has its own door outside, so no one wishing to swim early has to go through the living room.

The area
The west of the Algarve is the quieter part.
Raposeira is part of the municipality of Vila do Bispo, the westernmost point of the Algarve. This marks the end of the large holiday resorts and the start of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park.
This means small coves instead of beach promenades, walking trails along the cliffs, and restaurants serving fresh fish. Yet, Lagos is only half an hour away if you wish for more activity.
